District Attorney’s Victim Witness Assistance Program

Assists victims and witnesses of felony crimes through the criminal justice process of the Superior Court provides advocacy and support to victims of domestic violence, advocacy for the fundamental rights of victims and witnesses within the criminal justice system, victim notification of pending cases and court accompaniment, victim compensation information, assistance with creating victim impact statements, and referrals for counseling and emergency shelter.

Provided safety and support services to victims of domestic violence heal from the trauma of abuse while recovering in a location that is undisclosed by court mandate and under 24 hour surveillance

Speaker’s bureau for domestic violence education and prevention information, emotional support and referrals for secondary victims (i.e., family members, children, etc.).
